I have been working in financial services since graduating from UW-Milwaukee in 2013, where I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Biological Sciences. Like many others after college, I was unsure where I wanted my career to go, so with some hesitation I began working for my mom, Jodie Lane. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been asked, “So what’s it like working for your mom?” I was very thankful for the job at the time, but I thought it was a temporary, in-between kind of a deal.
I soon discovered that my job wasn’t what I thought it would be—working for mom, answering phones, and boring financial stuff. I found that my job is to talk with people, to understand what they need, and to know where to find answers. The endless opportunities to help and serve others every day are what got me hooked. It didn’t take long before I fell in love with the direction my professional career has taken and discovered that Jodie and I make an amazing mother/daughter team!
I hold an active life insurance license in the state of Wisconsin, and this year I’m working to become securities licensed in hopes of becoming an independent financial advisor.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking and trying new foods, gardening, hiking, camping, and chasing around my school-aged son, Jack.
